A plea by Nupur Sharma to club multiple FIRs
Nupur Sharma, who is seeking election to the Delhi Legislative Assembly from the Greater Kailash constituency, has made a plea to the Delhi Police to club multiple FIRs that have been filed against her.
Sharma, who is the Bharatiya Janata Party’s candidate for the assembly elections, said that the FIRs were “politically motivated” and “false”.
The candidate said that she had filed a complaint with the Election Commission of India and the Delhi Police Commissioner on February 8, alleging that “certain people” were trying to file false cases against her.
Sharma requested the Delhi Police to take cognizance of the matter and take necessary action.
Who is Nupur Sharma
Nupur Sharma is a highly accomplished attorney and political figure in India. She has served as a Member of Parliament and as National Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Sharma is also a widely respected legal scholar, having authored several books on Indian law.
Born in Delhi in 1974, Sharma graduated from Delhi University with a law degree in 1997. She began her career as a lawyer, eventually becoming a partner at the prestigious law firm of Jain & Associates. In 2004, Sharma was elected to the Delhi Legislative Assembly. She served as a Member of Parliament from 2009 to 2014.
Since 2014, Sharma has been serving as National Secretary of the BJP.

Nupur Sharma, a Bharatiya Janata Party politician, has taken a stand against the proposal to build a mosque in the vicinity of the disputed site of the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya.
Sharma, who is a member of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, has written to the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, asking him to reconsider the proposal.
Sharma said that the mosque should not be built in the “disputed and sensitive” area, and that the “sentiments of Hindus” should be taken into consideration.
